Hello and welcome to my handmade life!
I have always had a passion for art. I love to crochet, paint, draw, craft, create and make beautiful things with my hands. When I am not creating, I am nesting or traveling. You will most likely find me wandering through nature or museums with my family.
Crocheting has always been the perfect combination of creativity and home for me. As a child, I watched as my Grandmother and Great Grandmother rhythmically turned out blanket after blanket. I love watching the way a simple ball of yarn turns into a cozy blanket and a family heirloom.
Warm & Woolly began during a high-risk pregnancy, while I waited patiently for a beautiful baby boy. Crocheting seemed like the logical way to spend 8 months on bed rest. By then I was hooked.
Today, I can crochet with my eyes closed. I rarely ever follow a pattern. So instead, I write them. I picture something in my head and naturally know the stitches needed to make it. It is a gift that seemed to happen organically.
In 2010, Warm and Woolly became an Etsy shop selling crocheted slippers and washcloths. Then it was filled with delicate baby booties, clothes, and blankets.
Today, Warm and Woolly is a bespoke online shop, selling one-of-a-kind crochet gifts and original crochet patterns made personally by me. Thank you for supporting women in small businesses!
